Guantánamo

In one of the first acts of his administration, President Obama has signed an executive order that forces the closure of the detention facility located at Guantánamo Bay, Cuba.

Of course, nowhere in the order is any type of plan for where we put two-hundred and forty five terrorists. The people housed there weren’t at the wrong place at the wrong time. They were captured by U.S. forces in Iraq, Afghanistan, and elsewhere. Many of these people have murdered Americans with a smile on their face.

And let us not forget Obama’s fifty one seconds of National (weak) Defense priorities:

So what do we do with this gang of terrorist scum? While Obama feels that closing GITMO will help our nation’s image worldwide, it instead sends a clear message of appeasement to our enemies: If you are captured, don’t worry. There will be plenty of U.S. lawyers that will work tirelessly to get you free. Of those freed, 61 have returned to terrorism. One has even been promoted to leader of al Qaeda’s Yemeni group.

Do not forget that the detainees down there would happily slice your infidel throat if they had the chance. Many have even plotted your death.

It pains me to say this, but this one act will become the turning point in the War. Our enemy will grow stronger, as we weaken back into our safe and happy September 10th mindset. I only hope and pray that we won’t see the eleventh once more.
